Sierra Nevada College Summer Workshop

Sierra Nevada CollegeI am happy to announce that I will be a summer workshop presenter at Sierra Nevada College from July 17th -21st, 2017.

From the SNC website: “Lake Tahoe and the scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains truly inspire the artist in us all. SNC offers a variety of summer workshops given by nationally known ceramists, glass artists, painters, sculptors, printmakers, digital artists, photographers, paper makers, jewelers, and more. Learn new techniques and expand your knowledge in the medium.”

Artists of all ages (16 and up) can take workshops for personal enrichment or college credit. Tuition includes some materials, possible kiln firings, equipment rental, etc.

During my workshop, I will take you step-by-step through my design and making process. This includes creating and executing patterns for both piercing and monoprint image transfer. We’ll also explore methods of applying tape resist and raku glazes to enhance and compliment the original design. I will also demonstrate my techniques for raku firing in an electric kiln.
For more information about the experience, accommodations, and all of the amazing summer artistic opportunities at Sierra Nevada College, check out their summer workshop page.
