An assortment of bowls, taped ready to glaze and then raku fire by Eric Stearns of Stearns Ceramics. These areas will act as masks to prevent glaze in those particular areas. During firing, those lines will turn black and create a dramatic break in the glazes.
Eric Stearns was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska and is currently an art professor at Doane College. Eric combines a love of mathematical design into his work through carving and piercing the clay.
